Leadership Experience
Compassvale Secondary School (CVSS)
Vice-President of the Student Council

As the Vice-President of the Student Council at Compassvale Secondary School, I played a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of major school events.
Year 2025 Secondary one Orientation
In addition, I oversaw managing logistics, which included preparing materials, arranging venues, and ensuring smooth coordination among all parties involved. I curated the cue table, allocated manpower, and coordinated rehearsals and dismissal briefings, ensuring that every segment of the event ran according to schedule. This experience enhanced my ability to lead large-scale initiatives, pay attention to detail, and adapt quickly when challenges arose.

For example, during the Year 2025 Secondary One Orientation Programme for 11 incoming classes, I played a central role in its successful planning and execution. I oversaw the training of the Orientation Group Leaders (OGLs), ensuring they were well-prepared to guide and support the new students. I also led the design and scheduling of the orientation activities, carefully crafting a programme that was engaging, informative, and aligned with the school's values.
CVSS Games Day
I was part of the organising committee of Games Day 2023 and 2024.
In 2023, I was the vice-head of the sports sub committee and was involved in promoting engagement through social media, overseeing logistics needed, and communicating with the other sub committees and was in charge of tallying and keep track of the scores of each class team on the actual event day. It was one of my first experiences of event planning in CVSS.
In 2024, I was a part of the main organising committee where I helped the sub committees brainstorm ideas and give suggestions. I was also in charge of crowd control of the claw machines on the event day that year. It was really memorable seeing everyone working together for something bigger.

Selecting & Mentoring the Future Councillors
Beyond event planning, I was actively involved in the selection and development of future student leaders. Collaborating with the teachers and other executive committee (EXCO) members, we organised and conducted interviews for Student Council applicants and EXCO applicants. After Which, I took on a mentorship role for newly appointed councillors; training them for their new duties and facilitating bonding between them.
Through these responsibilities, I not only strengthened my leadership and organisational skills, but also learned the importance of leading with empathy, building strong bonds with fellow councillors, junior leaders, and schoolmates.

In recognition of my service and leadership contributions, I was awarded the Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service (EAGLES) 2024 and the CVSS Service Award during the 2025 Annual Awards Day. I also successfully completed the Student Leadership Challenge Training, conducted by TOUCH Leadership and Mentoring, on 23 May and 18 October 2022. On 20 May 2024, I was officially appointed as both Vice-President of the Student Council and Chairperson of the Drama Club. I was awarded the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA)- Silver Medal.
